Mutual view - In satellite communications, a pair of Earth terminals are said to have an artificial satellite in mutual view when they share simultaneous, unobstructed, line-of-sight contact with the satellite.
Mini-map - A mini-map is a miniature map, often placed in a corner of the screen in computer games to aid in reorientation. Often, the mini-map dynamically updates the current position of the player with respect to the surrounding environment, in which case the view would resemble that of a radar screen.
Ptolemy world map - The Ptolemy world map is a map based on the description of the world contained in Ptolemy's book Geographia, written circa 150 CE. Although authentic maps have never been found, the Geographia contains thousands of references to various parts of the old world, with coordinates for most, which allowed cartographers to recontruct Ptolemy's world view when the manuscript were re-discovered around 1300 CE.
Solar power satellite - A solar power satellite, or SPS, is a proposed satellite built in high Earth orbit that uses microwave power transmission to beam solar power to a very large antenna on Earth where it can be used in place of conventional power sources. The advantage to placing the solar collectors in space is the unobstructed view of the Sun, unaffected by the day/night cycle, weather, or seasons.
